The Floor Is Lava In CoD: Black Ops 7’s New Zombies Map
A new round-based Zombies map arrives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 with the launch of the Season 4 Reloaded update. This map is called Kowakujo, and the cinematic trailer reveals a menacing dragon and the characters surrounded by lava. Following the events of Totenreich, the Black Ops 7's Zombies crew find themselves fighting across a sea of lava to reach a Japanese castle. The story revolves around Takeo Masaki and his past. The map is set at his family's castle, and the structure is built around active volcanoes, providing a unique atmosphere with parts of the map separated by lava. This isn't the first time we've seen lava in Zombies, as it was also featured in Black Ops 2 maps, but this definitely looks to be a major element players will need to navigate around as they attempt to survive. A brief gameplay clip was also shared by Treyarch, giving a better look at the pools of lava and the rising ash on the map. Zombies players might literally be playing a game of The Floor is Lava as they fight off the undead on Kowakujo. Treyarch has teased that the map introduces a new supernatural Wonder Weapon, a "hellish" GobbleGum, and new enemies. Treyarch also dedicates the map to Takeo's longtime voice actor Tom Kane, who passed away earlier this year. Season 4 Reloaded arrives to Black Ops 7 and Warzone on June 25. In addition to Zombies content, players can also expect new weapons, more multiplayer maps, special events, and limited-time game modes.
