Minecraft Dungeons II is set for release in September, according to a store page for the game on Nintendo's website that seemingly went live too early. Nintendo's website lists a September 29 release date for the sequel, and a $30 price point. The Minecraft social media pages have not posted about Dungeons II today, instead sharing a Backrooms meme. People are theorizing that the announcement of the release date was supposed to happen at one of this weekend's gaming events, like possibly Summer Game Fest (June 5) or the Xbox Games Showcase (June 7). In any event, the release date for Minecraft Dungeons II is out there now. The original Minecraft Dungeons was released in 2020. A Diablo-style dungeon-crawler, Minecraft Dungeons was a spin-off of the main series and reached more than 25 million players, no doubt thanks in part to its inclusion on Xbox Game Pass. The sequel was announced earlier this year. It takes players to new places and adds new enemies to fight.
