Best Mina The Hollower Trinkets
Trinkets are Mina The Hollower’s most numerous and diverse collectables. They range from some that help with combat by adding buffs to those that help with healing and making your way across the map. Some are available in shops if you can cough up enough Bones to pay for them, but many others require solving puzzles or finding them in obscure places that are easy to miss. So, for those looking to get all of the potential power-ups out of this retro-flavored open-world game, or if you just want to know how to get more slots to equip more of them at the same time, we’ve compiled a rundown of which Mina The Hollower Trinkets are worth investing time into finding, as well as locations for those looking to complete their collection. Mina can jump further with certain Trinkets. Best Mina The Hollower Trinkets As there are 60 different Trinkets, we’re not going to give you a tier list of the best ones. However, since there is a maximum of six Trinket slots, we’re going to explain our picks for the six you should equip, ranging from those that keep you alive to others that make traversal a lot more trivial. For the first Trinket you should make a beeline for, you should help the Duke find the Duchess in Queensbury. Doing so will reward you with the Proto Spark, which grants you a second try immediately after dying with around half of your maximum health. This is especially helpful if you’re fighting a difficult boss, as you’ll carry on where you left off and maybe score that knockout blow. When you get a few more Trinket Bags, allowing you to equip multiple relics at the same time, the Primed Vial Pouch is also a great option. This not only adds two extra vials to your inventory, helpful for getting past the vial gates while keeping some healing back, but it also guarantees any use of this healing item will replenish a small portion of health, even if you haven’t hit your enemy. It’s not much, but it could do in a pinch! To get it, head out the southern entrance to Ossex and go west. After passing the guards on the next screen, you’ll see a massive gap and an opening below. Go down and attack the stump to the right. You can then hop into the house and gain access to the cellar to claim your prize. Another invaluable Trinket to equip is the Tunneling Codex, available by mastering the Ring Dive minigame. It’s tough, but once you have it, swimming in watery areas, such as Nox’s Bayou or the Backwaters, becomes somewhat trivial as holding the button down keeps Mina diving underwater until you let go. This is especially handy when rounding up all the unlockable items and other hidden secrets that would otherwise be a pain to find. Combine this with Iron Lung, an early-game Trinket that maximizes burrowing time, and you’ll be splashing about with careless abandon in no time. Finally, there are two other fantastic Trinket options for movement. Keri the Wisp, bought from one of the Poppit Shop locations, allows you to float for a short distance, clearing larger gaps with ease. Combine this with Bellows Bustle, another late-game Trinket that adds an air dash, and you’ll be flying through the game in no time. Trinket Bags increase the number of Trinkets that you can equip. All Mina The Hollower Trinket Bag locations In addition to the Trinkets, we highly recommend investing in Trinket bags to increase the number of these vital items you can equip simultaneously. Most of the Trinker bags available are sold by the merchant of Ossex’s Emporium, but a handful are also rewards for completing quests, beating bosses, or finding out in the wild. Ossex: Emporium – Three sold by the merchant for 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000 Bones respectively. Eastern Heath: Grassland – defeat Maxi outside the eastern entrance to Ossex. Astral Orrery: Mirror’s End – you need to have a spare Kear, as well as having enabled the yellow portal key found in the farmhouse in Septemburg’s Crow Town area, and the green one just after the Moon boss in Nox’s Bayou. From the yellow key, head outside the portal area and go left, digging under the burrow gap under the bag. Hop across using the platforms and open the lock with the Kear to get the last Trinket Bag. The Primed Vial Pouch adds more vials to Mina's maximum capacity. All Mina The Hollower Trinket locations There are 60 individual Mina the Hollower Trinkets to collect. Some are easy to find in shops, while a handful require defeating optional bosses or some out-of-the-box thinking to get. Later on, a handful of these Trinkets are sold by Panino, who is found in Ossex: Station Underpass. To reach him, use the Drill Driver, one of the Mina The Hollower Sidearms, to leap across the gap to the rope on the other side. Climb the rope and deposit four Vials to unlock the path to Panino, making sure to nab the shortcut on the way. When you buy an item, it’ll take a while for him to get it, so do something else for around 10 minutes, then return to find the item in front of his stall. Trinket NameT
