Parents spend £400 per child on days out – kids love free ‘mundane’ things

A poll of 1,000 parents of children aged four to eight found 68% feel pressured to take their kids to see amazing sights during the six-week summer holidays – but three quarters say free walks in the woods bring just as much wonder
